KaleidosCOPE L.Y.F.E. Support had an inspiring meeting with the amazing young individuals at the Diboll Boys and Girls Club. We spent quality time getting to know our new friends over pizza, bingo, and a lot of laughter. We are thrilled about the potential of our program and the impact it can have on their lives and futures. We are enthusiastic about creating innovative ways to impart valuable skills and establish connections that will lead them to a brighter and more successful future.
While we can't share images of the youth at Angelina County Juvenile Detention Center, we are making a significant impact on their lives. Our tailored approach focuses on teaching essential life skills such as appropriate behavior, decision-making, and the skills needed for success. Our sessions include dinner and discussions to instill these crucial life elements and how to apply them for success. The participants have shown great interest and eagerly anticipate our next visit.
Today, we distributed Crocs to kids, but this post is more than just about giving out shoes. It's about leading with compassion and empathy. It's about our dedicated LYFE Coaches who made sure the kids felt visible, acknowledged, and empowered. It's about the generous sponsors who made these shoes possible. It's about igniting a positive chain reaction that began with a pair of too-small red Crocs. It's about all of us experiencing lasting and positive change.

Boy's and Girl's Club Diboll
We hosted a fun Halloween event and ran the selfie station to capture awesome memories of Halloween 2022 for everyone!
We had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of the Boy's and Girl's Club Diboll Christmas party. Our role included organizing engaging games and overseeing the cookie decorating activity. Additionally, we contributed to purchasing gifts and capturing cherished Santa pictures, ensuring that the children have joyful and memorable experiences of Christmas 2022.
This past Thanksgiving and Christmas, we had the privilege of spending time with our foster family in Houston. We made special memories by taking Thomas and Bobbie out for a lovely dinner and treating them to a fun time at Main Event on Thanksgiving. As a pre-Christmas surprise, we visited the residents and brightened their day with thoughtful gifts, warm blankets, and a brand-new bike for Bobbie. During our visit, we also had the pleasure of meeting Wesley, another young man staying with Thomas and Bobbie. It was heartwarming to provide Wesley with some much-needed essentials, and his genuine disbelief at our caring gestures truly touched our hearts.

Christmas for Angelina County Juvenile Detention
Cookie decorating, pizza, cake, soda, gifts.
Yes, these young men and women still deserve a little kindness. We hope that by teaching them kindness and showing them some life skills, maybe we can turn their lives around in the future. There are reasons for some of their actions. Poverty, abuse, and neglect play a huge part in most, but not all, of their stories. We're not making excuses for them, but we want to figure out how to change not only their lives but also the lives of those who may face the same challenges in the future and correct things before we reach this destination."
